Mmmmm you are letting two shit heads basically change the entire policy of the welfare state.

There were crap, shitty people before the welfare state and there will be them without it..... probably more, as the lack of money will make people behave in an even worse manner and put their needs above those around them. In this case their kids..


This crap - and others -happened because social services and mental health services are so badly funded..

Agree that MH services are often badly underfunded. But dont agree about ss departments at all...Perhaps its different up norf but i doubt it...They waste loads of money and are completely over bureacratic.

The bureaucracy is ridiculous in Leeds. I know as a fact they don't have a database whereby they can type an address into and see they are already involved with that family, for example.

Yes, the bureaucracy and hierarchy are a nightmare, however they are still underfunded. The two things aren't mutually exclusive.
