Prezza was the leftist of the candidates - not that that was saying much either.
I don't really see any evidence that Cruddass has really changed much during his time as an MP, as pointed out above, other than on two or three issues, he has been a staunch Blairite the whole time. Like Prescott, he simply has the right accent and talks about class a bit. I might vote for him (I got my union ballot paper the other day), but I probably won't, and I certainly wouldn't campaign for him, as being the best of a desperately bad bunch isn't the same as being decent in the first place. He offers no solutions, merely hopes to organise the Labour Party in a more effective way.
