Pleasant and unpatronising
And the stadiums aren't all seater - which goes some way to explain why the average ticket prices are so much cheaper and the average attendences higher than the Prem.

4 german teams in the top 10 of highest average attendances of European clubs...
Man Utd are top interestingly![]()
i thought that dortmund had a higher average than us?

( St paul are not Bundesliga sadly )

I'm pretty sure ESPN showed one or two German games live last weekend - maybe Sunday. It'd be nice if a free-to-air channel in the UK bought the rights to some Bundesliga games, because I don't think I've ever seen a domestic German game. The same goes for any of the mainland European leagues. C4 and C5 were dicks for dropping the Serie A coverage, and I'd like to see stuff from there, Germany, Holland, France, Portugal, etc (I'll accept that Murdoch will always get the Spanish stuff).

Not free-to-air though is it? Disney are ever so slightly better than Murdoch, but that's not saying much.

How dare we sneer at the German League, a far superior structure in every way to tedious farce we have. Take away the corrupt, protectionist monopoly of 'the Big Four', and the 'Premier League' has no standing whatsoever. And even those foriegn owned, foriegn staffed organisations - about as English as a cafe latte - cant seem to attract the biggest players (one of the reasons we are told to put up with it), all La Liga bound. The rest of the 16 teams - bar possibly Spurs and Man City - couldnt light a candle to anyone in Europe, hence our abysmal showing in the 'Europa League'.
from a technical aspect it is lagging far behind the Premiership.

That said, I remember Bayern Munich winning it for about 5 seasons in a row, so it can't necessarily be that much more competitive.
seems very much the stereotype of german, efficient but not really very interesting.

The top 4 or 5 are virtually in place already.
Yup, tottenham in 2nd, having not dropped a point, same as last year...
What is a technical aspect worth when we know exactly who will be the top four teams every fucking season? It's like saying a Steve Vai record is great cos it's 'technically brilliant' - ok, yeah, except of course a Steve Vai record is boring as fuck. I am pleased with my analogy.
I'd much rather watch a competitive league than the technically exciting dross we see every year. The top 4 or 5 are virtually in place already. Even formula one, with all the naked corporate knob waving in that sport realised it had to try to even things out a bit somehow.
Is a league won by an outsider because the best team plays like crap and it's usual rivals have gone in to decline really that much more exciting?
Don't get me wrong I see what your saying and agree in part, I just think that some are looking at the Bundesliga with rose-tinted spectacles.
My own preference is for international football (even if FIFA are doing their best to fuck up the World Cup by using it to showcase rule changes and equipment)as you still have to best players, but it's much more unpredictable
