I know it's not to everyone's taste, but some times nothing will do except a double double drenched in chilli vinegar. Mmmm.

That's the beach I was thinking of. People seem to think you can't go down there unless it's an organised event. I took my daughter down with a bucket and spade last Summer, on a whim. :D

That's my sister and my nephew in the photo. The foal was sitting at my feet, digging

I absolutely Love London for all the reasons already mentioned. I'm a resident 19 years now and I still feel like it's fresh.

I like the familiarity of knowing where to stand at tube stations, seeing the same people on the work run, all very small town, but still walking around in awe and the people and surroundings.

I love knowing how London works so I love standing on the right on escalators, I love using my Oyster and watching tourists try to swipe their paper card on the reader.

There's nothing in my life I desire that I can't get here, sometimes just at the top of the road.

I love being able to go somewhere and have a choice of hash, go to a pals and have a choice of other fine substances.

I love being a Londoner who's come from somewhere else, people come here to live, they want to live here. How many places can say they draw people because they absolutely want to live there.

Innit.

we arrived the same time , numbers, those heady late 80s :D

I wish I'd moved up here when I was 22 instead of 32. What a waste!
I first came in 1986 for the all Mersyside FA Cup Final  loved it so much I stayed here for about 2 months.

Came back every year then until I moved over just before my 19th b/day, just as the Summer of Love was about to kickstart in 89 - perfect timing.

Marty

I love it here because there’s always something new waiting to be discovered - today it was Duke Street power station (wtf).

Within 5 minutes walk from my house there are: 3 parks, 4 pubs, 4 24-hour shops, a Waitrose, a cemetary, 2 churches, a synagog, a Hindu temple, a police station, a mainline railway station, a tube station, lots of bus stops and a good school. I can wake up at 4am, look out of my window and there are people, doing things, living life. There's always something happening. There is food of every kind.

There's a hundred museums and galleries, all free, you don't need to drive. My neighbour wouldn't care if I covered myself in tattoos. My friends live here.

There's Borough Market, Soho, the view from any bridge. The Eye, the Gherkin, and St Paul's Cathedral.

I love London and I'm never leaving.

Pretty much this.

Camden Market,
live and let live,
room for every kind of individual,
libraries everywhere,
never more than 20 mins from a major hospital
night buses
the view from Waterloo Bridge
Walking along the river
Hampstead Heath
Highgate Cemetery
Every imaginable kid of food (needs saying twice)
Every area has it's own identity, culture, people
Always something interesting, funny or just pure mad to see
Always people around, no matter where you are or what time of day/night
You can get a bar of chocolate anywhere/anytime if you need one

I love it here and I'll leave feet first!

I love the fact that the transport ticketing system is so complicated that people get a sense of satisfaction from watching tourists try and figure it out. :D :p
