Why does it take my Internet explorer about three minutes to load?

Could it be due to the huge amount of crap I've go running in the background. Also my hard drive is full up with games and stuff.

Maybe I should just reinstall windows and start again.

Heheh - indeed, back when I actually had a 486 with 8Mb RAM, Opera was just about the only browser that I could open without nodding off. IE was a joke to open & Netscape Navigator not much better.

And the feature to turn off images on the fly was perfect for my (12k?) dialup modem.

Yeah, Opera screamed along back in the day, and it's still the slickest browser that I've ever used.
