It's nothing to do with that. It's a question of defending people and territory against an invading force that sought to kill and destroy on a massive scale and put an entire part of a neighbouring country under their military rule.
It's an ABC question to me that countries that act as Israel did should not be allowed to get away with things like that without resistance. And they got it that time
