Your contributions to this thread. I think it would contribute greatly to the sum of human happiness. Thank you.
Hang on a minute - would you care to read my contributions to the thread before you start on some fucking bitchfest extravanganza? I actually agreed with the OP and said I had the same issues with the same words. I made a lighthearted comment about it being on the the wrong forum ( a fact echoed by others on the thread) and suddenly I'm being accused of telling someone they're fucked in the head and a general waste of space. A tad of an over reaction, no?

eta - your contribution to the thread has been precisely what? I suggest it's you that needs to fuck off :)

It's hardly the end of the world is it?

I don't appreciate having words put in my mouth. Wiskey made the association between 'cognitive' and fucked in the head. It's not something that would ever cross my mind. I meant it's not the end of the world putting the post in the wrong forum, not it's not the end of the world being ill (is she ill?)

For whatever reason - she got upset. I haven't seen wiskey be particularly oversensitive in other threads/posts. She's upset this time. Whether it's justified or not - you've contributed. Clearly you didn't mean it ... but now it's up to you. Defend your position and get angry in turn - or defuse it.

I have not contributed. If wiskey wants to be upset it's her perogative.

I often put the letter d in instead of a g and vice versa.

This forum is called books/films/TV/radio/writing, I don't see that the thread is in the wrong place at all. wiskers was asking how she could improve her writing skills, it was only other people's contributions that turned it into medical discussion.

Well, maybe 'wiskers' shouldn't have opened a discussion about being 'wired wrong in the head'
:)

I'm not sure I understand at all why wiskey is upset but my concern would be to see if she's OK rather than having a go at her, and it does sound to me like you're having a go at her.

Wiskey's been in a lot of pain and been very unwell recently and people can get sensitive and upset when tired and very ill as you know, being ill yourself

Try to cut her some slack eh? Even though I know she's been ill I have no idae about many things in her liofe that may be causing her stress, so it's always, IMO, best to try to be kind if you can. It doesn't cost anything

I'm not having a go at her. She starte don me , telling me what i really meant. I'm very sorry she isn't feeling well but being a drama queen isn't going to help her is it?

Yes - you have. Firstly the bit about the wrong forum (obviously struck a nerve, although as I said to wiskey I didn't think you and Hocus Eye were being mean). Then when wiskey did get upset, you reacted with the FFS rolling eye sarcastic smiley thing - that wasn't helpful. Then the bit about cognitive v creative (even though you did add the :p ) just seemed to put the tin lid on it because she was already upset.

C'mon, if you unintentionally upset her - what's wrong with saying sorry? There's no big point of principle to defend

FFS- only on urban can someone making a lighthearted comment about a post being in the wrong forum be turned into a fucking multi page mental health assesment and who did what to who.

I have nothing to apologise about. Wiskey is an adult. If she wants to misinterpret something I've said why should I apologise? Fucking ridiculous

It's not hard to say sorry, madzone
I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY SORRY FOR.

How many times............Has Wiskey apologised to me for completely and deliberately misprepresenting what Ii said? No . It's not me that needs to apologise.

LOL

YOU calling wiskers a drama queen

the irony

If someone took offence to something I said, even if I had not meant to offend, I would still apologise.

I apologise to wiskers for the further derailment but tbh I think this all illustrates the difference between the nice people and the nasty ones :)

Even if they'd deliberately misrepresented you?

jeeeeezus. what happened here?

madzone - i have never ASKED for an apology from you have i? in fact i left this thread having explained i took it personally. i felt leaving was the most appropriate thing to do as its ME that was upset and it was nothing to do with you.

this thread was not int he health forum because it was nothing to do with health imo. it became one whilst i was away and thats what happens to threads.

i do object to this though -

because what i actually wrote was "its just wrongly programmed in my head"

i dislike labels and i sometimes feel urban loves labels. i cant just type wrong it has to be dysexia/dyspraxia/spatial awareness etc. your comment about it being cognative bothered me for this reason.

i apologise for being upset this evening. i do try quite hard not to be over the top on urban and generally am in the business of keeping myself to myself. today i wnet back to work, i'm in pain, i'[m tired and just before i finished i had a child die on me. i realised that posting on urban first thing when i got in the door was a bad move so i left again. i shall do my best to keep my stress to myself in future.

i dont want anything from you but if you think i'm going to apologise because you managed to have a very sucessful arguement with me that i didnt participate in you can forget it.

people with fibromyalgia can have a range of neurological problems. My sister has hypermobility syndrome and also has something called Meares/Irlen syndrome which she's only recently been diagnosed with. The docs gave her coloured lenses to put over anything she's reading and she can read fine now!

My poor sis was diagnosed with a learning difficulty as kid, then they found out that she was deaf, then she had grommits and it fixed her hearing but she still struggled with reading and writing. she's very bright and I think it's really boosted her confidence to find out that she has this condition. I'll gogle for it, it sounds like you could possibly have a similar condition?

the odd thing is that I work with colour for a living, I can spot one pixel out of thousands that is a different shade from another, I also can tell if things are slightly unlevel to the extent of being less than a millimeter different, I know all about colour and contrast and the make up of colours so maybe this vision expertise that I have maybe due to having vision issues elsewhere, interesting, very interesting and something that I think is worth more inverstigation, thank you louloubelle for the info

I touch type & unless I'm reading from a page I do have a tendency to mix letters up (not just dyxlexia). It may be that we read one way but when typing the layout of the keyboard being qwerty doensn't always feel natural.

One of my probs with typing is going from me keyboard at work wich is an ergonomic one to the laptop at home. It can be a real bugger ajusting my hand positons
