John Lydon was a genius between August 1975 and December 1979 (or whenever Metal Box came out) but both his work and his personality stank thereafter - his personality probably stank before but that doesn't diminish the work. Glen Matlock seems to be a decent bass player and a decent bloke. Paul Cook seems to be a solid drummer and solid bloke. Steve Jones gets my favourite vote for emerging from a shit childhood to start a band, become proficient on guitar in 5 minutes and make something of himself - his radio show is also fun in a so bad it's good type way. EDIT: Just seen Lydon's comments on 'racist' Corbyn - a bit rich from a bloke who used to sing 'Belsen Was A Gas'.
