the ginger one allways looks a bit lost, like they just had to get a temp in and she hasn't had time to learn the dance moves properly. but she is ginger so I'll let her off.

that's the beauty of nicola, and she usually gets the shittest outfits too :D

It's difficult to answer really. I'm a big fan of the group and have been since day one. Back then I fancied Cheryl the most but she's started to put me off with her "celebrity" chasing seperate from the group which I fear could be their ultimate downfall, although three albums in and they're still churning out quality.

Now if I had to chose one of them for looks it'd be Kimbo, who I think gets a bit pushed to the back in media circles. Nadine looks like someone I should fancy but weirdly I don't especially, although I think she probably is the best singer technically. I like Nicola's punk-esque attitude, flying in the face of her candy-pop output with a fairly miserable demeanour. Sarah I can't help feeling is the token leggy blonde a bit, but having said that without any one of them it wouldn't be the same.

Big shout out to the Xenomania crew too who give them all those classics.

Best Chronicle front page ever

nicola is the one I like the best sexiness wise. I think she has an interesting face. The others are a bit too much like clones.

They don't look very nice in that photo, but nadine has the most genuine looking smile, so I'll have to pick her I guess if pushed.

That's what they were wearing at Leeds - it was a bit disturbing as they had the camera trained on Sarah's crotch for unpleasantly long periods of time. :(

Nicola's my favourite - she looks a bit goofy

I've no idea what any of them are like, but if I had to choose on looks alone I'd go for the one at the left of that Chronicle picture. :)

That's Nicola.

I don't even know how I know that. Oh yeah - I watched the programme. Was it pop idol? :o

I am amazed that nicola is the run away leader

and surprised at how badly sarah's done. poor sarah - but she is my least fave girl aloud.

Me too, although I honestly wouldn't say no. This quite a difficult poll as they are greater than the sum of their parts for me. It's not like the Spice Girls who were very distinct characters, brilliant as they were.

I know what you mean. though with the spice girls, even though I loved them at the time, they always seemed a bit too novelty, whereas I don't get that with GA. I can't bear to listen to the spice girls now, but I imagine that I will still love to hear GA in a few years time, as their tunes are superior to the spicey ones (IMO of course).

I should have known you'd come along and make this far more thought provoking than I had ever intended it to be, stavros :D

Of course. Beyond the immediate exterior pop music is a hugely complex organism which few can tame, and its frequent abuse perhaps leads to the general acceptance of it as a lesser art.

As for the Spices, they were certainly a far bigger cultural happening than GA, perhaps more so than any British act bar the Beatles, and I still listen to their early stuff, but agreed GA do have a better back catalogue, largely because they stick to their fortes.

How did i miss this poll? It's ace.

It's all about the Tweedy for me, she's feisty, northern, bitchy, all complete with cute dimples.
She rules.
