Who's the best Wu?

Best WU

I was thinking of Domestic Violence on Digital Bullets (actually, that album in general).

That takes itself so seriously?

Yep.

I though Birth of a Prince was dreadful, too. And there was another one. Wanting (apparently) to be really pretentious and arty, whilst sounding just like everything he'd ever done before, no spark, no magic just this dull procession of RZA trademark stripped down beats and basslines, tinkling piano and growling MCing.

But shit. :D

For an RC I have very non-catholic musical tastes.

I only listen to BBC approved ska thankyou.*
[/obvious nonsense]

*Not as daft as it sounds. When the ska explosion came over here some of the JA artistes were told by BBC execs that they weren't playing ska properly/the way it should be played. [insert fucking huge laughing smiley]

cuban links was voted the best hip hop album of all time by hip ho conection a couple of years back, its class.

Can't wait for the second one.

Yeah, Cuban Linx was good and for me, put Raekwon on the Wu map. Never really took any notice of him tbh before that came out. :o

S'alright, I was only kidding ya. :D

MK's a quality MC, but underused in the Wu.

U-God's the weakest, for me.

Cappadonna's an affiliate.

I think he (Cappadonna) filled in a bit when ODB wasn't around, but I don't recall him ever having officially been a member.

U-God is Baby U, Golden Arms, one of the rappers. Probably the least good. He's ok, but not great...

Yo, step to my groove, move like this
When we shoot the gift of course it's ruthless
Grab the mic with no excuses
In a sec, grab the teks and loot this
Executin, shakin all sets, and I'm breakin all hecks
I'm takin all bets, move all best, who want the dram' next
You all stank, we got the bigger bank
Bigger shank to fill your tank
Still the same kill you for real, while you crank
Slide, do or die, fry to bake
Admire the greats, on fire wit a heart of hate
Bitter shark, every part I take, heavy darts that quake
It's okay, all fakes, get caught by the dropkicks
You know the thrill, yes it's Park Hill
Yo we hit 'em with the hot grits...
On the go, check the flow, sayin Wu don't rock shit...
Stop quick, hold the gossip, stop sweatin my pockets
I hear the hot shit

That's a U-God verse, off Gravel Pit.

I think he was a proper member cos they didn't bother puttig featureing cappadona on the album like the normally do with mere underlings.

ahh, mediocre, really.

Urgh, I'm torn on who to vote for. Rza or Meth.... :hmm:

When in doubt, I always ask myself... "who's verse on Triumph is better?"

And in this case, it's Meth. Plus, that hair. Those teeth...

;)
