Anyway, the spirit of punk lives on, it just mutated into post-punk and anarcho punk, then techno, then drum and bass .. and so on. Punk is the fuck you spirit of DIY rebellion, not a specific sound.
So long as someone somewhere is having a free party, punk is still alive.
