Who's had a barbecue yet?

I was reading reviews of barbeques the other day and I was suprised to see that half of them were gas. Surely gas bbqs are just wrong?

Not had one yet this year but have cooked some lovely kebabs on the Foreman. mmm. tofu, courgette, pepper, mushroom, red onion and haloumi in olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and chili marinade.

I agree unless of course it's one of those ones that is like a regular BBQ but with a handy gas powered hot plate at the side which is great for keep food warm when you're feeding the 5000 ;)

Had to buy my first barbecue this year and wrestled with this issue for a long time (all morning), finally deciding on buying a gas barbecue and building a charcoal barbecue so I've got the option. Contraversial I know, but it means you can be up and running within minutes of the sun coming out if it's a spur of the moment thing, or use the charcoal one if you've got a bit more time to plan it...

*awaits barbecue flaming*
