Who's going down?

:hmm:

I voted with my head on West Brom, I have no problem with them but I just don't think they've got what it takes to go the distance. I voted with my heart on Spurs, as I would love to see the charmless cunts relegated. And I think of all the remaining teams, that Blackburn have the least hunger. Boro also lack the will to win, whereas Stoke I have every desire to see survive but I think they simply don't have the skill.

Bolton and Blackburn - have both been bullshit teams for some time now. No fans, no ambition, no players.

Heaven forbid that teams from small/medium sized towns should dare to play in the blessed Premier League. If they do we shall cry 'no fans!' and hold it against them forever.

Right, made my selection more on the basis of who I'd like to go down than anything else:

Spurs - was slightly torn on this one. Although it would be great to seem them try and talk themelves out of this kind of reality check, I'd still miss the North London derby. Still, one season in the Championship would be very amusing.

I agree with these three. Although I'd prefer Boro over Blackburn, just.

Let's see some big teams from the lower leagues come back to the Prem: Leicester, Wolves, Sheffield Wednesday. These all have good followings. Much rather them than bolton/blackburn/boro.

I wouldn't want spurs permanently down in the lower division of course, playing them always has a real buzz about it. But as you say a season down there would give them a reality check about their 'mahoosivest club ever' status.

It's more size of club. Wolverhampton's about the same size as Bolton IIRC and I'd much rather have them in the Prem than Bolton.

Other than based on what Wolves won in the 1950s, how do you make out that Wolves are 'bigger' than Bolton?

Just thought - when I started following football, both were in the fourth division and we were one division higher :hmm:

OK fair enough. I just like wolves' kit more than bolton's, or something.

Irrational isn't it. TBH I mostly dislike Bolton because they stayed up when we went down in 2003, and they've played pretty horrible football...

See, now that's fair enough :D

Stop trying to be rational ffs :)

Football isn't about being rational. I have a soft spot for Wolves because I think their kit is fucking lush. When I was a nipper I used to claim to supprt them simply because I loved the colour and the badge so much. I would love to see them in the big time.

Innit. After ours, and the kits of the Netherlands and Argentina, theirs is probably the most striking in the game.

striking and blind enducing.

dave(thinks theres probabley a beter sounding term then blind enducing)

I hope nay pray that Citeh go down.

I've nothing agaist them per-say, if anything they're the lesser of two evils at the other end of the East Lancs Road, but after the sheer (and you'll have to bear with me on the spelling front today) audacity of the whole Kaka incident has just destined them to the Rich Club-Shit Team wilderness of the Championship/Division one/two.

You can fuck right off with that.

It doesn't matter what size the town or the stadium is but it does matter whether you have got a fanbase, the ambition to play good football, and players whose game is based on technique rather than Robbie Savage or Kevin Davies style spoiling.

Mental season isn't it?
Fifteen points separating 6th place from 20th!!
No idea who will end up going down, no idea who will win, not even a guess this season.

Fuck off yourself. How exactly are teams from medium sized towns like Blackburn or Bolton supposed to draw many more than they do anyway? Prat
