Who should be the next England manager?

It's gotta be Neil Warnock, he's the only man alive that could ignite a bit of passion into the over-paid, celebrity-status seeking cunts

Yeah and get him to pick a team entirely from the Championship, who, arguably could do just as well or even better: e.g. Northern Ireland were on course to qualify before Healy et al got into the Premiership and then after beating Sapin and Sweden they lost to Latvia and Iceland.
It's the way forward!

If it has to be someone English, why not Redknapp? Seriously though, he has improved a lot since his West Ham days, his teams play attractive football, and Portsmouth are one of the best to watch outside the top 4.

Thing is how much difference would another manager make? He picked more or less the right team.
Unfortunately, when it mattered most, he picked the less right team - particularly in the 2 games against Croatia

Who next? Nobody English, that's for sure. Capello's free at the moment, isn't he?

Apparently Capello said on Italian TV that he would be interested...

Class manager. I think it should be Mourinho though - he already knows how to get the best out of some of the players.

I don't think mclaren will be manager tomorow .i think they will choose a caretaker manager till the find a permanent replacment .for my money martin o'neil could be okay .martin jul is free at the moment:D

Who to be the next England manager?

Can I suggest a representative from the Press Sports Editors.

They seem to know so fucking much about how England should play why dont they fucking manage the team.

I dont know who the next manager will be but seeing how they are hounded constantly by the press, because for some completely bizarre reason the tiny group of sports editors think England should be the best team in the world, I would give the next manager 6 months to a year before they are out.

Mourinho,Scolari, Cappello wouldnt come because of the press hostility whatever the criminal amount of cash offered.

There are currently NO English managers good enough for the job in my view

Had to laugh at this quote from the sun

McClaren has somehow taken the so-called golden generation backwards from the Sven Goran Eriksson era.

Let’s have Sven back. We can only dream of three successive quarter-finals now.

Hmm... sounds rich given that it was the likes of sven that constantly told us how 'crap' sven was...

Redknapp is the only decent English manager around but O' Neill would be the obvious choice. Class and passion.

I reckon that England should keep Venables on and have Shearer firing the boys up.

Morale and teamwork could fix a lot of the problems IMHO.

Mourhino......... chances are he'd do something and if he f*cked it up I'd enjoy watching him get f*cked over by our wonderful press, either way its win win for me

oh well SCMs been given the thumb tack,so i suppose Graham Taylor is officially not the worst England manager of all time then?

I think they are jointly holding the wooden spoon, together with a few other former England managers. Its a fucking big spoon.

It HAS to be a top level foreign manager. Only way we can change they way we play and player's childish attitude to the game. Should have been a foreigner last time but FA fucked it up and were left with SM.

Mourinho would be a dream, so would Capello as would Hiddink. Redknapp, gor bless im, will fall well short of what's needed. Martin O'Neil must stay at Villa

Me. Chances are whoever gets the job will fail and be sacked and I could do with a £2.5m handout.

My way of saying well done the FA and I have full confidence in your abilities.

Why hire an Italian manager, it doesn't suit the English style of play.

If I was English, I'd be hoping for someone like Redknapp to come in. Done wonder with shitty ole Pompey.

What with your wonderfully flowing attacking play that's been so much in evidence during this campaign :D

Capello's teams aren't dull - Roma were very good built around a skillful midfield. His Madrid side may have been slightly dull for their fans but he still won the league...that's what the stats will show.

It's a shame Uday Hussein isn't available any more. He was quite the motivational genius at terrorising good performances out of the Iraqi national side.

the English style of play
This is what's wrong with England!!!

Not only that, English fans in general hate possesion football. How many times in a match do you hear someone screaming because a player dared pass the ball backwards instead of booting it up front?

They need to hire someone who does NOT have an English style of play and does NOT give two shits about what the fans or media think about him or his style

sam allardyce

get the boring po faced fuck into the England hotseat, so he will have to get off his high horse about not speaking to the BBC, whilst liberating NUFC from his dreary shackles and getting a lump sum to start the ball rolling with a new manager

They also showed magnificent fighting spirit to win it, when they weren't the best side in the competition.

Incidentally, is there some reason why the answer is not "José Mourinho"?
