Who painted this?

I hate to be less adventurous than the speculators, but could you not look at the back of the card? They normally are credited, and if not Mrs M's suggestion of contacting the manufacturer seems very good to me.

He took the photo through a locked shop window ages ago :p

No idea but she looks like a friend of mine :)

Yeah fair enough, but unless it's gone under, I'd assume the shop's still there. Probably contactable by some means even if not visitable by the interested party. :p

No they was shit, this is far more than that, come on Paul what gives? this is very much not your thing as i know?

Hey, it's not important. I just wondered who it was by. Something told me it was by a famous artist, although this thread has had a few views and no-one recognises it, so I must be wrong.

OP, PM me the location of the bookshop and I'll see if it's still there, and if they still have the card.

Thanks, but all I remember is that it was a Christian bookshop on Fleet Street or the Strand.

It's not life or death, I just wondered who it was by. :D

At least I learnt something about Tennis Player Scratches Arse in the process....

Love the last line from the article. Obviously the long term career prospects from shooting Tennis Girl were limited.

These days, I'm a proper amateur again. I shot 'Tennis Girl' with a Nikon F and a 135mm lens, but at the age of 61 I use a Nikon D50 and only ever take pictures of the dog.
