Who makes Psytrance?

Anyway, can we get back to talking about compression ratios and 24dB/octave filters please? This is a nerd forum, not some bloody muso debating place :p

I need help with bass, I can never get it to sound tight and get the beats to sync with the bass.

if your kick drum and bass are playing at the same time you need to eq them to different frequencies so they dont clash and become muddy the secret here is to cut with the eq do not boost it.

Also compress the fuck out of the bass to get it to sound phat.

You also need to make space for the bass so if your playing the bass on its own with just the drums and it sounds okay then you bring in other sounds and it loses its dynamism then you need to eq the other sounds and remove the bass from them. I do this to all my tracks as a lead or pad can steal alot of headroom making the mix sound muddy and flat.

All you need to make a track sound good is eq, compression, reverb these are the tools tha you need to learn inside out.

Read that

can i suggest you also need variety, imagination, passion, melody, originality and excitement?

this must be where psytrance is going wrong :(

Who makes psytrance? I often wonder this to myself. Who the fuck would make psytrance? and why? and could they please refrain from it?
