fucking heart breaking :(

however, if the question were who is the most professional manager i would vote rafa. rafa rocks

too early to say and he certainly wasn't very professional when he had a pop at Everton for outwitting him tatically.

you're right but he hasn't taken it to the next level. which would be nice. "Arsenal in my day were fucking vile to watch". - apart from the trophies, that's why arsenal fans put wenger on a par with god

Er, I read that as meaning that Arsenal back in the George Graham era etc were vile to watch, and since Wenger came along he made them great to watch.

no, that was just plain funny...

well it was for me cos my da's an Everton fan but still it does jar with his suppoused proffessionalism and makes me wonder if he'd be any better than Ferguson or Wenger if Liverpool actually became serious contenders in the English league again.

Wenger is the biggest prick though and it infects the whole up themselves Arsenal team.

reading through this thread it appears to me that there is alot of biase opinions. I am a Liverpool fan and whilst all of the above are great managers I truley believe Arsene is the best. Looking at the bigger picture, he has made millions from players ie. Anelka cost 750K (flogged 23 mil) Viera cost 3.5 - 14m, Toure 250k, i could go on all day. Now throw in all the trophies he has won and the Incredible football Arsenal play in full flow. He is a truly great manager!!! the best

I'm a Chelsea fan and also voted Wenger – for many of the same reasons you mention.

Now throw in all the trophies he has won

Premiership twice (same as Ferguson and Mourinho), FA Cup (same as Benitez and Ferguson). No champions league (unlike Mourinho, Ferguson and Benitez).

He's made money on transfers? Is that how we are judging good managers?

They play good football - fair enough. But football is about winning. Even Gallas conceded that last week.

I'd have to say Lord Ferg probably just pips AW as it stands, although they both have good and bad points. Lord Ferg is a better man manager and AW is better in the transfer market. Both endorse good attacking football.

If Lord Ferg hurrys up and retires then AW may just pip him eventually. Sdaly there is no sign of that yet......

Both bloody good though.

:D
Ps - I'm a gooner

Oh, and for everyone accept Chelski and Man U balancing the books is an essential part of being a good manager.
ManU bought the Glazers' debts so they still have to be very careful.

As much as I hate the MU, Fergusons been there or thereabouts at the top of the league for over a decade. Thats pretty impressive and you've got to be doing something right to acheive that.

I think Ferguson should be rightly be mentioned on this thread as Sir Alex Ferguson going forward. He is a knight of the realm and probably can have you all thrown in the dungeon or shoot you with a longbow for not using his title correctly.

Sir Alex Ferguson if you please:)

Purple nose, demento or ginsoaked if you please:)

how is the hot bed of "red hot soccer chat" down in the South? been having a passionate chat with the likes of David Mellor down the local recently?

Again misquoted...northern fans southern fans was the debate, still keep up with being misguided....no doubt you will be talking about how the mickey mousers are going to win the league this year......how many is it now...closer to 13th than 1st....:) :)

gawd, if there's anything worse than the average glory hunting Man Utd supporter, it's a blinking gobshite fairweather fan from blinking East Dulwich.

That's beyond prawn sandwich territory. More like crayfish and roquette, with an extra serving of ponciness on the side...
