If the Simpsons had given up around season 11/12ish, I would have likely gone for Homer.

As it stands, Cartman edges it for me. One of the most un-apologetically evil and misanthropic fictional characters ever devised.

Cartmanland, Casa Bonita and my current favourite - the one with the dwarf bloke "you see, words are like bullets..."

I've seen that episode a good 5, 6 times and still laugh at Cartman all the way through it
 
While I think Homer is probably the best character over the years, this is blatantly a Simpsons vs SP vs FG vs Futurama thread and my loyalty lies staunchly with South Park, so I voted Cartman
 
homer is probably the better charactor overall

however cartman can be spectacular as he is that dark little voice in your head when it has had all the seals removed
 
Close thing between Cartman - "Kyle's Mum is a Big Fat Bitch" makes me wet myself laughning - and Bender but in the end for all round excellence I went for the latter.

Bender rules!
 
Maybe I am just a fence sitter but like them all.

Homer has made me laugh a lot for many years but not seen Simpson's for a while.
Bender is a great character with some excellent moments.
Peter is a good character but I feel that all the Family Guy characters are wicked (except Meg of course).
Cartman is a classic but I have to be in the mood for Southpark whereas I am always in the mood for the others.

Watched a few episodes of South Park last night, cheers for the link :)
 
Over all, Homer by a mile.

Peter is not the best character in Family Guy its Stuee or Brian (or when both together).

Family Guy makes me LOL hardest out of the 4 programmes mentioned but the Simpsons holds a very fond place in my heart.

South Park makes me laugh but its kinda a one trick pony of just try and be as shocking as possible.

I like Futurama mainly for Bender.
 
Eric Cartman, so many moments.

..pretending to be handicapped to get into the special Olympics
..convincing the locals to march for a "cleansing" of Jewish people after seeing the Passion of Christ
..when Ben Affleck fell in love with his hand
..when he plays "Silence of the Lambs" with his toys in the basement
..when he thinks he's a Vietnamese prostitute and enters a bull riding contest

But I like Homer and Pete Griffin too. Not got much time for Bender I'm afraid.

For the same reasons, Cartman. He's such a malicious little bastard that he has to win.
 
They're all good in their own way but for sentimental value I have to go for Homer.

Oh and Peter Griffin is by far and away the best character in FG.
