who is gonna be the big man of the music forum now?

He's with dirty martini in the zen, rise above it all, life's too short camp. Music knowledge, excellent. Cunt factor, low.

Me and DM yesterday, discussing the merits of Gene Clark's solo career.

Actually you've got a low tolerance level yourself iirc. And you like mclusky too.
Step forward.
nah, i'm full of love, me. plus i have an almost non-existant knowledge of obscure indie-rock.

Influx of tourists from the general forum. They only come here for the celebs.

Breaking News: She's just been nominated in the smelliest pop star thread.

Does this mean a potential split in the vitriol?

perhaps we can conspire to take over every thread with pointless
quibbles over her hair/voice/tattoos/husband/future/lack of?

A quick flick through the thread reveals that all of that has already been covered . Some like her hair, the way she smells, the tatts etc. And some even like her husband more than Mark Ronson whilst someone thinks Ronson would make a sensible boyfriend for Amy.
It's all gone Smash Hits in here!!!

and what's wrong with that sir?

would you prefer it all going NME?

Well. Let's see. I have a couple of issues here and (quite randomly and honestly) the first two features I turn to are Yesayer and The Hold Steady.

and is that a good thing? :)

Hell no!

Why does the NME even exist anymore?

Don't 'the kids' download all their music, and read about it,
on the information superhighway these days?

It's not whether anyone would prefer NME or Smash hits, they are the same.

only smash hits has gone and NME can't be long, it's very, very rubbish indeed.

Right, I've given the matter several days' thought and I've decided it'll have to be me. I can be really opinionated about music and have scant, if any, respect for anyone else's tastes or opinions when it comes to these things, so it should be me. Though I'd only be able to provide unbalanced debate which isn't really up to the required standards.
I am happy to rudely dismiss entire genres of music with one deft tap of the keyboard if I deem it worthwhile.
Only trouble is I can't be bothered to post enough.

Oh do me a favour. You couldn't even make up your mind about going to bop to Luke Slater on your own? Come back when you're a bit older, more grizzly and have some proper hardcore opinions to swing about. Innit ;)

Heh, yeah, but I went and then reviewed it.
Also, I hold controversial opinions about many popular and/or feted bands.

Have you been living in a cave for the past ten years?

Do I get the job?
