Who else is putting off the housework then?

i have cleaned the kitchen, bathroom, vacumed and tidied up the kids rooms. i have done most of the laundry, i have put most of the clothes away. i have removed 2 bin bags of rubbish. i still need to clear my bed, put another load of washing on, fold up what is currently in the drier when its dry, and dry the rest, change the bedding and remove any plates/cups that are festering in my room. i have run out of steam tbh but i need to at least clear and make the bed, the rest can wait if needs be :)

sorry scumbalina :D

I have to hoover and mop every day! I have got the three kids and a dog though.

Mop EVERY day?! But...it's such an arse-ache! I have to sweep the kitchen floor, then trap the cats in the living room, then make sure the girls don't need to go into the kitchen for a fucking bajillion things

Mopping only gets done when the stains and 'bits' get too obvious to ignore :D (approx every 2 months)

I'm gonna give this place a good seeing to tomorrow, I've decided.

How comes when yer ill all the mess you usually wouldn't mind becomes too apparent and nasty and filthy so you HAVE to do something about it?

Sod off tidy pants

I am alternating wine with cleaning. Do the dusting, have some wine, polish the mirrors, have some wine, rehang a picture, have some wine. It's workin pretty well so far

How straight is that picture? :D

Everyone here is helping massively my avoidance of all things domestic ;)

Is still pigsty.

I can't even get drunk and do it (curse you fetus!), maybe if I drink some non-alcoholic beer my brain will be fooled :hmm:

aha - you are preggers?

Well, if that's not the best excuse bar none to avoid housework, I'm your monkeys uncles brothers best man

I guess, it's just really pissing me off and I know I'll have a better weekend if it's all nice. I'm on my own for the weekend, which never happens, and I planned to make the flat all lovely then do lots of "me" things, like being antisocial and having lots of buble baths, reading and getting takeaways. But instead I've spent 2 days staring at the mess and not really doing jack shit, and now the weekends halfway through!

Maybe if I just tackle a couple of boxes...

Got up at 10, pissed about, went to the gym, did a food shop...uh, yeah that's it. :o

Housemate blitz the kitchen - cos she likes to. I may change my bedding later, but nothing else. I'm too ill! ;)

Tomorrow!

How preggers are you?

week 20

ETA...oooh, I know, I won't be lifting any of the boxes if that's what you meant, that's why I'm putting it off - instead of bunging them in the other room I need to siphon everything into managable piles.

Indeed! No heavy lifting...or mopping/brushing/hoovering etc :D

Nah, you're just being a lazy bastard :D;)

That's still a fair bit - hoovering is a once weekly thing for me!

Hehe :D
I'm only talking about a 10ft x 10ft bit of carpet though :D

And it's dark blue ( it was cheap) so every little spec of dust shows up on it - it never looks clean. If I don't hoover it for a couple of days I just have to spend 3 times as long hoovering it when i do iyswim.

Err, yeh, I'm only talking about that kinda space too.

But - have to say - dark blue carpet IS a shit-catcher - been there, done that. Beige carpetting is far superior :D (until it's got a secondary layer of grey cat fur, that is:mad:)
