Who do you vote for in 2015 General Election?

Not often if fact maybe never before has the adage 'we get the politicians we deserve' been truer. It seems to me that people are either apathetic and more concerned with acquisition and the property ladder or feel so disenfranchised as to not be bothered to vote by the various placemen and parasites who really only have an eye on the boardroom position or consultancy that they see their Westminster connections bringing to them.

The apathy argument is a conveniant herring.

"The Green Party of England and Wales, which has one MP in the House of Commons, has an official policy of republicanism.[54] The Irish republican party Sinn Féin has five MPs, but they do not take their seats.[55] The Scottish Green Party, which has two MSPs in the Scottish Parliament, supports having an elected Head of State in an Independent Scotland"

How would the green party get away with that? Im sure there is some kind of rule whereby its prohibited to denounce the monarch in parliament.

"Parliament passed the Treason Felony Act in 1848. This act made advocacy of republicanism punishable by transportation to Australia, later life imprisonment. The Law Lords ruled in 2003 that this law does not prohibit peaceful advocacy of the abolition of the monarchy.[6]"

My MP is 'Mad Frankie' Field, who has a huge majority, so I can't imagine anyone who I'd be prepared to vote for bothering to stand.

If Scotland votes for independence, surely there will be a general election this year?

Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011 says no...unless the House of Commons resolves "That this House has no confidence in Her Majesty's Government" or the House of Commons, with the support of two-thirds of its total membership (including vacant seats), resolves "That there shall be an early parliamentary general election".

Cameron will have to resign and the Tories won't want Clegg as PM. With Labour ahead in the polls and with an in-built electoral advantage, cue a vote of No Confidence.
No he does not. Clegg doesn't become PM, a second rank tory does if that happens.

Tell us why a general election happens though.

What are the odds that as the election gets closer and the Tories still look out of the picture that one or two jump ship to UKIP?

That won't happen, independence isn't a thing that will happen immediately once the votes are counted. The Westminster parliament might have an issue in 2016/17 (say) if Labour form a government after the 2015 GE that relies on disappearing post-yes Scottish seats for a majority, but the Westminster system copes with that quite handily: "Can the Prime Minister command a majority of the House?". The Tories and Lib-Dems aren't going to prematurely end their government over the indy vote - I'd expect the former in particular to want to be involved in the negotiations as much a possible.

Scotland won't become independent until 2016 so you could have a situation where Labour wins the 2015 GE but when the (40?) Scottish Labour MPs leave in 2016 the government loses its majority triggering another GE.

i dont live in England anymore but did for 17 years and you MUST NOT vote for any cunt that resembles any kind of semblence of a 'way out' as did Nick Clegg and all that shite on those May 2011 debates.....dont do it. Please dont destroy your country as happened last time....i WARNED people - DO NOT VOTE FOR THAT CUNT COS THE TORY CUNTS WILL GET IN, etc!!! I disowned friends after that election and you need to do the same. LOVE YOUR COUNTRY, DONT BE A CUNT!!!!

Your country NEEDS a REVOLUTION in the style of people entirely dismantiling ALL political parties and saying 'FUCK YOU, WE DONT NEED THIS SHIT' and storm parliament with their OWN proposal of what THE PEOPLE want.

Why on earth would Cameron have to resign? There's no constitutional justification for him to do so, and expecting a wankshaft like Cameron to have the gumption to resign on a point of principle is like expecting a fresh turd not to stink.

Or a coalition, to avoid the VoNC that is the only way to dissolve a fixed term parliament.
