Nonsense - the whisky cos would actually like folk to be a bit more disrespectful of their fine products. :p

The trend to whisky purism & reverence is slowly depriving them of a market. They just loved one suggestion that they market a certain type of malt as a viable alternative to the fermented fish sauce popular in Thai cooking! :D

Herbs - yup, that kind of subtle Speyside malt is a prime candidate for watering or refilling with an inferior brand IME. Seen so many places do this. :( :mad:
