I met Sean Mclusky(sic?) at Cargo about a year back.
He had ran Final Frontier at Club UK. I told him that it was a great club, but it nearly killed me (in a jokey way). His face fell as he explained that several people had died there.
:o
I'm not sure if it was because the cool water taps were cut off though:mad:
I went from late 94 til it shutdown and always drank cold water from the taps. Was there when people died though, and on the night of the raid, and I was in the queue talking to some posh bloke boasting about how many Es he had and then he got arrested. Read in the paper that he was Tom Parker-Bowles

I didn't get into clubbing until my early 20s - actually like dub, i was much more of an indie/metal club and gigger type in my teens. Late 90s basically I got into raving.
Missed out on all the famous early 90s clubs though :(

Me too. Less metal & certainly no goth stuff though!

Didn't get into squat parties until I came to London and despite the fairly shitty scenes at the moment, that's still what I do mostly.

I met his dad once, looked just like him, but with hair:eek:

Khan I think his name was. Spoke to him quite a bit at the time, last time I saw him he was out of it at Hawkwind at the Academy. :D

Different clubs for different reasons, nights and types of music

Here are a few that stick out for me though.

Starlights
Kinky Disco
Puscha
Love Ranch Saturday Maximus
Drum Club Thursday Sound Shaft
Lost Vox has to be there best venue
Sabersonic Happy Jax
Zap (Monday London night)

Far too many really to keep listing, for all different reasons.

Where are these clubs you mention?

Is this a London thing?

Bristol: Trinity, Lakota, BCC and Black Swan - Lakota always seems to be closed down and reopened - I think Trinity and BCC has ceased to play your dancehall music - I hope the BS is still going...

House of God, Birmingham
Third Eye, Birmingham
and not forgetting the mighty CitriCity, Birmingham

I used to go to 'The Rocket' a lot, as it was (still is) just round the corner from me.

Don't really know any of the others (apart from fridge and dome, went there occasionally)

Does anyone remember 'Club Alien' - it used to happen at The Rocket every now and then :D

Electric Ballroom! Spent many nights there

and The Underworld too (and, of course, Camden Palace!)
