Public Sector-I work for an ALMO that comes under the Local Authority umbrella and my wages are on the same scales as other LA employees.

dole scum i am

im dole scum, only cus i was made redundant recently and i want the government to pay me some money back, I also need to sign on to get my mortgage cover started.
I worked in the private sector, the construction trade, even tho some jobs are private and public, construction firms are only there to make money..

I work for the third sector. Thing is, I earn more in this job than any other. Tis a myth that charities pay badly.

Mind you, I've never really worked in (a proper job in) the private sector.

University, third sector/public.

Universities post surpluses and deficits rather than profits and losses, but it's basically the same thing (except if you're an accountant, I suspect).

I was on the dole constantly for 23 years. Signed off last September just before my 40th birthday to start paid work with the charity I founded so my work's not for profit.

Public sector. For the vast majority of my working life I have either worked in the NHS, Royal Mail or county council.

Private, professional services. Like Idaho :)
See you on the street corner later. Don't forget to bring my thigh length boots, the punters have been asking for them.
