Which part of London gives you the creeps and why?

Pimlico. What's it for?

:D

You're right, it's like a vortex, you know it exists, but obviously in someone else's version of London, not your own. Sometimes the bus goes through there.

Camberwell is good for your traditional bloody punch ups with mad people on buses (whenever I see a night bus fight, it's always in Camberwell or New Cross - yet never peckham in between  ).

I used to find the city at night creepy as fuck - its so quite and full of corridors and alley ways, but then I went and stood under the ghurkin building one night and it was actually really peaceful and serene and I don't mind it round there now.

Gypsy Hill/West Norwood gives me the creeps because that's where my dad lives and I used to be there loads, now I'm always half worried/half hopeful I'll run into him there someday.

Carpenters Road, Hackney Wick.

Like walking through a scene from Mad Max.

A haven for some of the scummiest squad parties, endless disused warehouses, breakers yards, burnt out cars, not a soul for miles (or at least not a soul that you'd want to meet on a dark night....).

Hell yes! I used to walk to work along Carpenter's Road five days a week. During the day it's practically deserted, apart from some of the dodgy-looking garages that lurk part-way down.

The mountains of fridges were just... odd.

Would definitely prefer not to wander around there at night.

anything South of Mornington Crescent, all the way down to Marlebone road.

Used to live on Bridgeway St and quite liked it.. quiet, safe feeling, zone 1, cheap, could walk to Camden or TCR Road in 5/10 mins..

Lived just off Edgware Road for a while and that gave me the creeps. All the streets are dark and twisty and horrible, I felt like I was asking for trouble just walking home (not talking about the Marble Arch end).
Camden's alright but certain bits of Camden Road freak me out.
And I flippin hate New Cross. Every time I've gone there some crazy twat has pulled some stunt or another to scare the shit out of me.

There's an empty corner of Grafton Square in Clapham Old Town that give me the creeps because when I was very little ( under 3 & 1/2) a rainbow vanished in that corner. Yes, I know, creepy.
Why is that creepy?

There's a clue there it's old army barracks innit?

Not really - you might be thinking of Victoria / Green Park way.

Pimlico is just very very dull. I lived there for three years. It you want to live somewhere close to town that's very quiet, it's ideal. "The Grid" is quite majestic in a way - Thomas Cubitt's terraces that were built as affordable housing, but weren't short on style.

But nothing happens there. In the last five years there's been one pub refurbishment. And that's it. Pretty much nothing of note has opened or closed. Same old same old.

Now I've swapped Tates and am in SE1. From scunge to art and everything in between.

Brixton overground station: Haven't used it for a few years cause I hate it so much, but back then there were always a group of guys huddled round with lighters and foil on the stairs. Then you get up there, it's unmanned. Quite often, I'd be the only person up there. No way out but back down those stairs. Made me feel vulnerable as fuck. Gave me the creeps alright.

Stockwell Park Estate: Haven't hung around there in years either. But used to quite a lot when a then current ex lived there. Intimidating place with a bad rep, back then anyway.
