I'm originally from West London but currently live in East London......much prefer the East, I have horrible memories of Greenford....*shudder*

In the time that I have spent in London have always lived in Clapton, barring a year and a half stint in Gants Hill (an area I would recommend to noone, especially not anyone who doesn't drive, coming back to hackney was like returning to civilisation)

Technically, I live in SE24. But move a hundred yards down my street and it becomes SW2.

Bugger postcodes - how can any Brixtonian claim to be anything other than a "South Londoner"

In my mental map:
South West London = the Battersea/Wandsworth/Putney/Barnes axis

South London = Kennington/Brixton/Streatham/Tulse Hill/Norwood and Elephant/Walworth/Camberwell/Peckham

South East London = Lewisham/Deptford/Catford

Dulwich and Blackheath are bits of North London attached to the mothership by wormholes of the space-time continuum.

Anything further out is Surrey or Kent

innit

SE18 for 18 years, will be returning fairly soon I reckon . . . (it was kent about 100 years ago but it's now definitely london)

From W5 originally, now in SW9, moving to SE24 next week.
I thought you were from Brum originally.

Like Shelley I'm from the SE London kent hinterland, but the 'nice' part.

Lived in different bits of SE London all my life. I'm currently in Camberwell but looking to move if I were honest.

Born and bred in Clapham then moved all over London in various flatshares. Crystal Palace is the most southerly I have lived and Colindale the most northerly.

Currently living in an area called, according to my A-Z, St. George's & Ratcliff. Also known to everyone else as Aldgate.
