I get most of my news online, a combination of scanning the bbc and google news, not to mention message boards.

As for papers, they still scratch a spot that the web doesn't quite reach.

I've got a subscription to the Economist and I read thelondonpaper which I actually quite like. It's made for the evening commute though and after a hard day working there's not much else I'd prefer to read.

I'll read the sun/mail/mirror/express etc when it's available for free, a chippy I go to usually has a copy on the counter. Usually winds me up no end though.

I'll steal a copy of the times from the pile outside Starbucks most evenings or buy it if I'm on a long journey. The only daily I buy in general.

Also read the Camden Journal, our local paper which is good for the local gossip as well as having the occasional meaty bit.

It's not one folks admit to but is always popular in a caff I find ;)

Must admit that when my work colleague used to buy it (until she decided it was a "silly" paper) I used to have a good shufty at it. I quite miss George and Lynne.

I read the Guardian, the Indie, Private Eye, a local rag, the Sun and the News Of The World (the last two are just the usual papers that are left behind in the pub, I don't go and buy them)

Oh, and Friday-Ad and the Loot, for teh bargainz!

:D

I sometimes sneak a look especially for the Fantasy Football when it's laying around at the pub/work/caff. The Fantasy League I'm in uses The Sun rules so that's my excuse.

I don't buy newspapers - too much doom and gloom :D
Pick up a Metro on my way to work in the morning and skim through it on the tube on my way home. I keep Friday's one for the cinema listings in case I fancy seeing a film at the weekend and also for info on engineering works on the tube lines.
If I am in the Camden area I pick up a Camden journal as there are often interesting historical articles to read.

Saturday Guardian and the Metro.

How is it that the Grauniad and the Observer are stablemates, yet the Observer seems to be even more up its own arse?

Used to read the Indy, but it's a shadow of its former self these days. Truly sad.

The Indy might as well have the same headline every day 'DOOM'

The Times on a saturday, but thats more for the big Sudoko puzzle in it. BBC website, daily engineering news digest from the IET, Ch 4 TV news, ARRSE and here to keep up with what's going on.

I buy the Indie every Saturday, and I get the Graniuad on Wednesdays but only for the jobs section. I do read the Torygraph, but only because I'm living with my parents at the moment who get it.

Something I do do most days though is go through the Express, Mail and Sun websites to see what bollocks they're spouting on any given day (usually Di or Maddy for the Express).

Google News and anything left on a train seat. I used to buy the screws and the Observer every Sunday, then I'd buy the Observer whenever they did the food monthly, but theres no point - I discovered that the Food Monthly is archived online and all the scandal from the Screws that makes me chortle is online as well.
