Which foreign language film impressed you?

Cinema Paradiso was the first foreign language film I fell in love with. Since then, I'll happily watch any film in any language. One that I like that hasn't been mentioned is Le Cage Aux Folles (not sure how to spell that, though).

Dead Dog Soup is one of my favourites, but A bout de Souffle and Bande a Part are my absolute favourites.

Pan's Labyrinth
La Haine
Hana Bi
Run Lola Run
Momo (surprisingly good adaptation)
Aguirre Wrath of God
City of God

How can I have forgotten to mention all the great Asian films I have seen since I came to China:

Nang Nak
Xiu Xiu (The Sent Down Girl)
Beijing Bicycle
Durian Durian
Memories of Murder (Korea)
Blind Shaft
The Road Home

Also got to mention a french film i saw in paris but which is rarely mentioned: Deja Mort. Indeed I have oly met one other person who has seen it, a french girl I met at a party years ago. It was a bit like boogie nights only more centred around drugs. Probably not arty enough to appearl to the guardian reading types though, it was a bit of a 'hollywood wannabe' french film but very good, it hought.
