Which CD decks?

I've got the CDJ 100's (well one to be precise, the other is someone elses in a shared studio). I think they're great, however most of the clubs are fitted with 1000s with are totally different to use - much larger, must looser and much more precise (and fantasic for scratching and reeeeeeeewinds).

As this is a cd deck thread and it costs nothing to dream(I hope):
Anyone seen the upcoming Denon cd/ipod/flashmemory/hdd deck??

Bloody hell... I think I'd be overwhelmed if I had to play out on one of those :D

At least with the Pioneer CDJ100s, there's no room for error, no special fx button to get distracted with. There's a lot to be said for simplicity sometimes :)

Don't worry about derails... I'm wondering if I should start a "show us your DJ set-up thread" so we can all ogle each other's kit :D

Of course, you get a Blue target light without invalidating any warranty :)

Seriously though.. +/- up to 16% I used to use just so I didn't have to swing as far on the pitch but now when I play out it's always +/- 8% so have reverted to that, Pitch reset is cool and the lack of dead space around 0% is nice too.

Can't remember what other differences there are with a normal set of 12's tbh.

If my MKII's ever die, which unfortunately looks sooner than I'd hoped, that might just swing it! :D

Sounds like a plan! I found a photo of my first decks the other day, just 2 lowly soundlab dlp-1's and a cheap Xfade mixer (with built in sound effects and voice changer function!!!) - thank god I managed to save up for technics in the end!

Ooo I like the look of that. I used to play out on Denon DND-4500s and the only setback was the fact you had to use 'discs'.

How cool if you could just use the built in hard drive to replace your CDs with MP3s. Gone of the days are scratched CDs and all...

I wonder how much this will retail for. I'm also looking at the Dennon CDJ-800s but money is tight :(
