Which budget supercar should I buy?

I am not sure that ferries or air planes are deliberately manipulated to increase their pollution output by an order of magnitude just so the owner can have a wank.

They don't have to manipulate anything, they both use dirty diesel ( dirty diesel being kind here, they use the dregs left after distillation) without ANY concern for the environment and get rebates for it, 1 container ship accounts for the same pollution as 10k diesel cars, suck on that, yet the bloke trying to save money gets penalised.

If you take that view why not just do some flytipping and tax dodging to save money too?

Anyway what percentage of container ship pollution ends up in people's lungs compared to that from a car on a London street?

Why would I fly tip or tax dodge?

I do 12k miles a year at 50 MPG, my emissions are negligable, unlike hybrid buses on London streets who also get rebated by the back slapping brigade.

You're a NIMBY, there are ships out there that a puking out far more life threatening carcinogens than every diesel car on the planet.

This is why you want an RS6. Plenty of room in the back for junk to take out to the quiet lane...
But difficult to know whether you should fill all the load space with rubble, or leave some for the bodies of lesser drivers that you have to murder with a claw hammer along the way. Proper fly tipping should be left to people with vans and the 1980s Mitsubishi Space Wagon.

Not quite a super car, but the Skyline meets many of your criteria. Also it's got so much computer power that you can change the set ups to make it more fun on urban corners and the like.

I suppose with a skyline, i could get my golf clubs on the back seat whilst getting the tail out as I drift through the bricklayers arms roundabout. with my bull bars on. just for safety like.

Yes, get the software set up to lose traction to the rear wheels for drifting and it should make most built up area road surfaces behave like your own private skid pan, which is pretty cool. Then switch the software to share the traction more equally for high speed motorway/ town late night driving.

I need a new car - I live in South London and need something maybe 200+ HP/ 160mph or so / sub 6 seconds 0-60 that is reliable, comfy but powerful enough to race about and get to the shops a mile away double pronto. Up to about 6 litres is enough I think. Cannot be too big as I live in a crowded CPZ area full of schools and crossings that slow me down ,but ideally has enough space for my golf clubs, possibly the family for longer journeys to Dorset or Biarritz for the weekend. Was thinking about a Range Rover Overfinch or Revere as a fallback option

No diesels as they will get hit with extra charges when I drive into work in central London each day and as a motorist, they get enough of my money in road tax and fuel taxes, so I resent paying them any more.

May consider an Audi if they meet my power and handling specifications. Nothing American though

Focus RS. Add the Mountune 380hp kit for a sub 4.5s 0-60.

Yes, the late night street racing option is a definite tempter for me- it is what 300 bhp / 5 mpg cars were made for.It is one for the few things the PC brigade cannot take away from us motorists - they will take have to prize my alcantara momo steering wheel from my cold dead hands

I still remember the first time I did the North Circ / South Cirular midnight run in under the three quarter hour. Took me years to get there and yet you only need to average 60. Happy days.

the spirit/battle of bathurst lives on! lol!! Cheers Bahnhof Strasse. I've always been a Holden man, loved the HQ Premiers, but the last time I went home i brought an FE Falcon instead of a Kingswood, always felt a turncoat when I was driving it, but with age and experince and wisdom, ahem, brought I thought the better car

V12's in a V8 race... blah!!! lol! :) though they did win a coulpe to start with. I liked the XJS, shame their early build quality was bad, been in a few since and they rattled and rolled, but a great idea, a fast tourer at a cheap price, relatively

The commentary, "Here's one Englishman who's not afraid of this Aussie mountain."

Tom was Scottish.
