I'm on a jolly to the afore mentioned areas of London tomorrow, (bank holiday) mainly around Spitalfields market area.

I've had a quick google but can't seem to find any stalls, pop-ups, restaurants that serve octopus. (thinking, spanish, greek or other such...)

Was wondering if anyone might have some knowledge, don't really want to travel away from areas mentioned, or at least too far, and am on a budget, so michelin stared eateries not an option, sorry.

    Thanks in Advance.

What's the budget? Decent sushi places usually serve it.

Or you can make your own almost identical to the real thing by cutting a chunk out of a car tyre and painting it pink.

marty21 One on one? You're crazy.

Just did a quick google , there are 3 Spanish places on Curtain Road , which is close to Liverpool St . The Spanish love a bit of octopus!

There's a Wright Bros seafood restaurant in the market. They may do it. Best to check.

Brindisa Curtain Rd do calamares, (squid).

I know the area pretty well and can't think of anywhere else. Had a look on the google as well but nothing jumped out.

Columbia Road is probably as far as you'd want to walk and they do it here. Laxeiro - Restaurante Español - A Family Run Local Restaurant Since 1982

don't eat octopus they're too clever and we will all pay for it one day when they take over the world.

    Main article: Cephalopod intelligence

Octopuses are highly intelligent; the extent of their intelligence and learning capability are not well defined.[88][89][90][91] Maze and problem-solving experiments have shown evidence of a memory system that can store both short- and long-term memory. It is not known precisely what contribution learning makes to adult octopus behaviour. Young octopuses learn nothing from their parents, as adults provide no parental care beyond tending to their eggs until the young octopuses hatch.[62]:75

In laboratory experiments, octopuses can be readily trained to distinguish between different shapes and patterns. They have been reported to practise observational learning,[92] although the validity of these findings is contested.[88][89] Octopuses have also been observed in what has been described as play: repeatedly releasing bottles or toys into a circular current in their aquariums and then catching them.[93] Octopuses often break out of their aquariums and sometimes into others in search of food.[85][94][95] They have even boarded fishing boats and opened holds to eat crabs.[90] The veined octopus collects discarded coconut shells, then uses them to build a shelter, an example of tool use.[87][96][97]

Andina or ceviche which are in Shoreditch and old street usually have a nice load of seafood and squids. They're a Peruvian chain.
