Where to buy a Cat in Brixton area?

I think those guys hanging around outside the Albert are selling cats. And other furry animals like skunks.

Celia Hammond do take seriously making sure the cat is going to a good home. Taking a cat is a commitment, not like buying a commodity, so I think that's fair enough. The south london branch is 233-235 Lewisham Way, Lewisham, Tel: 0208 694 6545. Best to phone first and check you are in their catchment area. I defy anybody to look at these cats awaiting a home and not want to go there: http://www.celiahammond.org/stray3.html

They're not really social animals in the same way as dogs, and they can really take against each other. The Celia Hammond trust woman said one of her cats absolutely hated the sight of the other, newer one until the day he died.

My black cat is the same with my tabby - rarely a day goes by in which she doesn't hiss at her, and they've been living together for almost 7 years now.

Except, of course, they also ended up denying a cat (or two) a good home in my case.

Anyway, I still haven't forgiven you for the Montague Arms "incident". ;)

My two are eight-year-old sisters from the same litter and the larger one routinely boxes the smaller one's ears. And if the littl'un really steps out of line, she clamps her whole head in her jaws.

The cat (or two) is pertinent because one thing you have to be prepared for at Celia Hammond is that if you go there for one cat you will probably come away with at least two having been subjected to the guilt-inducing 'well they've known each other since birth shame to split them up' lecture.

As for the Montague Arms incident I'm not quite sure how to weave the Gang of 4 into a cat thread, but anyone you got to see them eventually didn't you?
