Another one of these threads! Anyone want to recommend a place where they ate a damn good meal recently? Vegetarian friendly a must, otherwise anything considered!

honest foods on coldharbour lane.
bring yer own booze, open til late..
excellent veggie and non veggie options.
and brownies to die for.

The Gallery.

went there last Friday. I liked it very much especially the clams cooked in butter, garlic, lemon, and white wine.

Apart from sitting up on the first floor, which turned it into some sort of endurance test due to the heat...

There's always Bamboulla as well.

Saint Francis on Atlantic Road has been reliably good recently, pasta, pizza etc, and always very friendly

Another vote for either St. Francis on Altlantic/Railton Rd or Asmara on Coldharbour are both pretty good for veggie grub.

The pizzas are good in St Francis but I wasn't impressed by the pasta (more especially the price and quantity).

Brazas have just changed to their summer menu which is particularly lush this year for veggies - in fact gaijinboy is just on his way home with a takeout now... :)

St Francis was closed on Sun night when I tried to go a month or so ago - not sure if it always is or it was a one off, but perhaps worth checking before you go.

There is Brazas on Tulse Hill just a bit up from the Hoot-a-goblin. I went there for the first time recently - just for lunch but it looked promising.

Went for dinner there last week and had a really good meal.

I was very surprised as I'd recieved poor reviews of it.

Nice staff, good steak, and some good looking veggie options too.

Nice beer too.

We had two mains, a dessert and a bottle of sparkling...£40

I'm surprised you'd had poor reviews... we eat there almost weekly and have never had anything but amazing food & service. In fact nowadays they're winning awards and you have to be careful because sometimes it's tough to get a table! Glad you enjoyed it. :)

I went there with Mrs Bob for the first time last night. It was great. :)
