Where is this? (picture)

car.jpg

Does anyone know where this is? We're told it's Norwood Road but it doesn't look like any part of Norwood Road that we know of. If it's not then can we get off the bus lane fine via a technicality?

it looks like the road that runs down the side of Brockwell Park, probably most of the way to the Herne Hill junction. Park on the left.

It's my flatmate who's been snapped. The facts are:

She usually drives from the bottom of Tulse Hill to Tulse hill station and along Norwood high Street on to Crystal Palace every morning so she never travels the bit of Norwood Road that goes alongside Brockwell Park.

She leaves the house at 7.45 each morning but she swears she stayed at home on the 3rd of February.

Even if she did travel the Brockwell Park bit this shows her travelling in the wrong direction.

A closer picture shows it IS her car but the facts above stand.

The ticket should have Northbound/Southbound on it. What does it say?

aren't those pics VERY old though? any number of traffic regulation measures could have happened since

True, and yes - we are hoping they've fucked up somehow. We're going to arrange for a video viewing. Meanwhile, keep the suggestions coming. We'll show the bastids, eh? :D Fight the system, and all that.

Hang on? What is the deal here? Your car was in the bus lane so pay the fucking fine.

Or are you saying someone nicked the car, drove in the bus lane & then put it back without causing any damage to the locks or ignition?

Or there's a doppelganger car out there.

What are all the grey blocks for? I thought they where blocking the regs of the other cars but some are still exposed & the bikes not been done. Just curious.

Definitely a bus lane.

Yeah, it's the coloured tarmac that gives it away.

Isn't it good that they're being policed properly though? It pisses me off being stuck behind cars in a bus lane.

Yes indeed. Selfish, nothing more.

it's definitely norwood road coming from tulse hill way...
cough up.......

Yes but what part? We know the area very well but we can't place where this is. If it's going DOWN Norwood Road from Tulse hill station towards Herne Hill then what the hell was she doing there totally off her route to work and going the wrong way on a day she swears she stayed at home???

And, like me, she's a stickler for not going in the bus lane. There's definately somethimg funny going on. The car was there, no doubt but where exactly was it? Who was driving it was a question we'll have to figure out for ourselves.

I wouldn't rely on Google Earth as the convener of correct information. Just because it's on Google does not make it a fact.

To me this looks like the road that goes down the side of Brockwell Park towards Herne Hill. You can see HH shops on East Dulwich Road in the background

I think you may be right. She's at work at the moment so I think I might get on my bike and pop over there with a print out of the pic and confirm it. I've got nothing better to do today.

You do hear stories about people using other people's registrations and getting plates made. It's a good way of avoiding c - charge, until of course, the old Bill stop you.
