Where have you ladies been getting your daytime summer frocks from, then?

I've been doing very well from New Look. Their website keeps crashing though. I think they're still a bit new to the internet.

loving the suggestions, ladies. i shall have a butchers along the high street next week and at the links. cheers all!

If I were to tell you where I get mine, I'd probably have to kill you.:p

Ha! I :D @ this last page!

Sparklefish- Je t'adore! You usually say what needs saying and you do it with flair! I dig it muchly.

Also its a toss up between Bang On Trend and the oft repeated "Fashion Forward" for the most irritating phrase beloved by celebrity stylists!
B.O.T will date more quickly and should be gone by the end of the season, along with high waisted trews and tiered ra-ra dresses.

Dodgepot, thank your the Sarf Lahndon>>Norf Lahndon translation. Butters does indeed mean not attractive.

Trashy- My use of 'butters' probably dates me considerably, and probably is no longer in general use by the young people. Which is a shame.;)

Mads- Me shifty?! Mwah hahahahaha! :hmm:

Crap at link things but I've just seen some excellent 50's style frocks from a company called Dollydagger. I want.

''Dollydagger''?

Cooooooolll! Isnt that the title of a Hendrix song? ...apparently 'Dolly Dagger' was a reference to this lady whom he had the hots for but who was going out with Mick Jagger (Dagger) at the time.

:hmm:

/derail

As a secondary school teacher I can reassure you that the term butters (it derives, I believe, from butt ugly) is still being used by the yoot and will not date you at all.

(Btw I heard one kid calling another kid a spastic the other day. I can't believe that's still in use! We used to use that when I was at primary school in the non-PC late 70s.)

One of my friends calls me 'spakko' all the time. :(

Not quite the 'daytime' look I was hoping for. :D

So you're saying you wouldn't go to Tesco's on Acre Lane in this understated little number?

Why not?

I dont know what you're talking about, but I could never be seen in anything like that: the day you see me in a white box with a red x on it, is the day they bury me, do you hear?!
