Actually, I've sat third row, essentially beside the net, and it's pretty exciting there. Also, since the teams switch ends, you get a nice balance.

You get more bodies slamming into the glass, for instance, near the nets.

This thread is pissing me off! It's like you always talk about food when you're hungry and can't get any food. Pre-season is nonsense. Should just be a constant season that never ends. Or just like one week off in May. More football essentially!

Oh, and on a more on-topic note, hats off to the wheelchair users who sit in their susceptable shelters right behind the goals. Not sure if its the same everywhere but at Ashton Gate, the disabled shelters are in a very dangerous looking position and the ball could easily hit someone cos the barrier isn't high enough. fair play to them.

I've had a standing season ticket at Cheltenham every year since 85. Back in the day that meant having the whole ground to choose from, changing ends at half time (or a mad dash behind the old chicken run as the ref blew to get the first half started if we lost the toss) and all that malarkey. Since we've been in the League I've always stood in the home end but am heading to the seats for the first time this season.

Fed up being a shortarse and therefore missing half the game when teams kick towards us. Plus the luxury of turning up at 2:55 from the pub and not worrying if someone's standing in my place.

I guess this is what being middle aged is going to be like.
