Most of the catholic churches I've been too have small basin things near the door so that the faithful can bless themselves as they enter.

Just bring a small vial and help yourself.

my friend actually stole some from a catholic church in front of his superstitious wife deliberately.

funny how the mind plays tricks. if you believe your own lies bad enough it may become true.

If you think that the theoretical blessing that you don't believe in will be removed through theft, I'd just ask the priest nicely - say you have a kitchen knife that needs to be purified for your own personal righteous crusade or something.
