You definitely need 100% pure cotton to dye, and you need to wash them on a very hot setting twice before dyeing to remove any special finish which might resist the dye. A bit of a faff, imo.

just ordered brand new 100% plain dyed cotton duvet cover, sheets x2 and pillow cases x4 from La Redoute as reccomended by secret squirrel
