When you forget to eat breakfast

Nah, just mark me down as an anomaly - a fat person who really doesn't eat very much :D
I have already published a theory that some fat people are fat not because they eat too much, but because they don't actually eat enough. As a result of calorie deficiency caused by long-term undereating, the body 'trips a switch' and starts a different metabolic process, which causes the body to work twice as hard to convert and store energy as fat, in an attempt to prevent starvation. Thus, eating too little food actually causes some people to get fat!

The reverse has happened to me. I overate for too long and now my body works twice as hard to shed fat, thus I remain thin despite having a significantly higher calorific intake than the average person!

Anyway, I had the bran flakes at 2pm in the end. Now I can't be arsed cooking dinner :D:D
 
Do you feel odd cutting straight to a lunch style meal? I'm in a dither because I'd decided to have Bran Flakes for breakfast but then I forgot. Now I don't know whether to have the Bran Flakes now or if I should have something more lunchy :hmm:

I really don't know how I cope with the stress :(

tbh I think my lack of a religious breakfast regime has done me no good. I rarely ate breakfast as a child and suffered massive migraines all the time. Even when doing a quite demanding cycling routine I didn't eat when I got up in the morning.

I'm actually going to try and work on breakfast but I just dont feel like I can eat anything first thing.
 
Those continentals, they eat lunchtime stuff for breakfast, and look at them! They talk all funny.

They have a habit of eating dinner at lunchtime, too.

Interesting as i have been told this by various medical types at work !

Me either. I get out of the habit of eating first thing generally though oversleeping and rushing aroud. Couldn't start the day without a strong black coffee though. Generally have a piece of fruit or a frusli bar when I get to work though. Or a croissant/cake if hungover :D

If it helps, I had a banana at 5.30am, porridge at 7am, I've just wolfed down a bag of crisps, I'm half way through a sausage roll with brown sauce and I've got a nice big tub of fresh fruit for after.

Why don't you start with that and see how you go?:cool:

Either every ten minutes or not for a month. ATM it's daily (or maybe 2-3 times if I'm really honest) first thing in the morning
 
Cut it back - weekly if you must, or better still monthly. Saves you getting wound-up by natural daily fluctuations.
