When were you last given flowers ?

My friend sent me an absolutely gorgeous bunch of sunflowers for my birthday three weeks ago

I used to be given flowers quite a bit when I was like 15-17. Had at least 3 bunches of a dozen long-stemmed roses, and a few single roses and a few other nice bouquets.

Now, absolutely nothing for the last 8 years! Think I must have been hot before I went to uni (I was still at school when I got all my flowers), now I am maybe not worth romancing!

I tell you though. A man who bought me flowers would totally impress me. And especially if he bought me them more than once..... I think flowers are lovely. I really should buy myself flowers more....

Oh - to update on my pathetic 'not since 2003' effort, I got some lovely flowers yesterday. My flatmate, who's one of my best friends, bought them to cheer me up. She's the girl.

I’ve often thought about buying flowers for a bloke, but wondered if they would think it was too weird or rubbish, so I’ve always chickened out.

Saying that, an old flatmate of mine received some from his girlfriend and thought it was absolutely lovely (but he is quite effeminate so I don’t know if that counts?!)
