When does your post arrive?

I'm glad I didn't do a poll now as I'd be too late to edit whether you have a regular postie or not. We used to, now it's just anyone.

(wearing my slap - well some of it- v. happy)

:D

hypnose mascara by lancome. It's really good!!
3 urban decay lip glosses (gash, heat and hustle)
Urban decay eye shadow in acid rain
urban decay face case (not sure, 4 eyeshadows, some lip gloss, some shiny bits and a blusher).

Taking me to £25.04. Free delivery at £25 and a black waterproof maybelline volume express mascara (free - I'm a sucker).

The face case was meant to be a present for someone but I don't think I know anyone who would appreciate it as much as me and one of the eyeshadows goes fabulously with the acid rain one. :o

No pics I'm shy. ;)

which is pretty late.

There is indeed. :D

No pic taking facilities I'm afraid. I broke the webcam and my phone is abysmal.

Aye, same with us. We've lived at the same address for ~10 years and every couple of years, we notice our post count dwindling to nothing.

Then we start receiving threatening letters for unpaid bills, bank accounts are frozen as they've had statements returned and we have a battle with the local sorting office as to why our clearly marked street door is being overlooked by the fuckwit who is supposed to deliver our letters.

After about 6 months usually, normal service will be resumed for a while before descending back to no post again. Which is where we are currently, with neither of us recieving bank statements for over 2 months and not much else coming through the door, other than junk mail. Fucking royal mail

I had similar trouble recently, so wrote to the post office notifying them of the problem and asking about the procedure whereby they don't deliver your post, you just go and collect it from the sorting office. This I did mostly so that I have some sort of evidence to present to companies to show that I really haven't received my mail. Otherwise it just sounds like a lame excuse.

The post has been fine since then, so I haven't had to actually request that my post be held at the sorting office. Except that, for the past week, there's been no post whatsoever so I might have to do it after all. Luckily, I live really near the sorting office, so collecting my own post from there's fairly practical.

So that might be a last resort for you too, if you continue to have problems.

Unless, of course, the post is going missing further down the line.

Post comes at around 3pm during the week, and no delivery on Saturdays. And whilst I seem to receive things OK, nearly everything I send out gets nicked unless I send it Recorded.

My postie delivers my post to me in work with the office mail, its great when my ebay stuff comes through...its like xmas morning in work!!:D

When that happens the nippers gather round looking at all the funny records, most have never owned any vinyl, they think it's museum stuff.

I'm expecting my bank card today so it may well arrive past two again. :) None yesterday.

Like, seriously. Mine varies between 10 and phhht?
Generally, between 0830 and 0930. It's pretty reliable.

And it's mostly junkmail, unaddressed shit, and boringness, though I did get the results of a CRB check yesterday, yay.

At least my post gets delivered! I shouldn't moan. :o

I've got the tv volume really low in case they just try and shove a failed delivery note through my door (clanky clanky letter box). They say they tried to deliver it on wednesday last week but I didn't hear due to ear plugs.

It has occurred to me that the phone lines for the sorting office have shut by now. They best deliver.
We got one of those failed-to-deliver cards last week, and Ms Pembrokestephen is absolutely certain that she was around, and in earshot of the doorbell at the time the postman claimed to have tried, but heard nothing.

It's interesting what someone said ^up there about them not even bringing the parcels out with them...I wonder if that's what happened? But normally the postman's pretty good, and occasionally leaves stuff with neighbours. Strange

generally after the neighbours return from work, find it shoved through their letterbox and pop it back through ours.

Other than that anytime between 10.30 and 3/4 pm.

the post is as fucked as the tube.

 :(

Usually around 10.30 except if I’m desperately waiting for something including looking out the window to see if i can see the postman coming down the road. On those sort of days it’s usually around 2pm, or more likely, the following day as they don’t seem to have any cover for absences.

Pretty much whenever the mood takes our local postie any time between 0900 to 1500. It doesn't bother me to be truthful, most of it is advertising fliers these days and all important transactions are done online. The Amazon delivery guys (which are occasionally are actually the post office) are far more significant.

When i worked nearer to home and was able to go home for lunch about 12.30pm to 1pm it often still wasn't there but would be there when i got back in the evening. I work too far away now to go home for lunch so no idea but i guess it is still late afternoon.

I think it depends where your home is on your posties round though.
