When do you take your mudguards off?

I use my bike for commuting and mudguards are far from essential . You see what I do is have my cycling clothes and then get changed and showered at work , and if my cycling stuff gets wet on the way too work it dries out on the radiator at work during the day ( or I just wear it wet ) I don't understand people who seem to commute in their work gear , they must stink - especially in the summer when it's nice and hot !

But why have unnecessarily wet and muddy clothes of any sort?

You young people - you just can't stop messing. Religion, sex, mudguards - you'll be telling me there's something wrong with your parents next!

With a mediterranean climate these little seasonal concerns wouldn't matter too much.
