When did you last physically go inna shop and buy music?

Its different because you can save to favourites and then listen to it again and again on demand. Its almost like a halfway house between owning something and just hearing it played on the radio. But then you think how long is that You Tube clip going to be up there for and a lot of them go taken down for copyright infringement when Google took over.

Then save them it your hard-disk if you find something you like...

I'd argue that YouTube audio is inferior to a decent cassette recording from FM radio, but the quality of the recording is largely irrelevant to the principle...

3. You are not recording anything, just linking into something which is already posted on the net.

Which, by your own admission in a previous post, shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Is it just me, or do some people seem to have difficulties with the basics of copyright? :hmm:

Even if, as it the case with some of the content on YouTube these days, it was placed there by the record company or the artists themselves, I still don't understand how are you being 'ripped off'? Is it because you now think of music as of no value and are consequently any attempt to ask you to pay for it is a rip-off?
