A few weeks ago when I bought the new Nick Cave album.

...I'd dling shizzle for 4 years by then...took it back...CD didn't work...swore I'd never buy shit agin. Haven't.
).I'm planning a trip up to London tomorrow though, which will definitely take in Notting Hill and the Music & Video Exchange. Might visit the legendary Berwick Street too if I have the chance, or Rough Trade.

OK, I spent so long in MVE, both the rock and pop one and the dance/hip hop one, that I didn't have time to go to Berwick Street or Rough Trade. I managed to get myself 8 albums and an EP for about £35, and I had to stop myself buying more. It was heaven, and I even managed to get the new Girls Aloud album there.![]()
One of the loveliest afternoons of my life
I couldn't see the point once I knew you could download it for free.
I got an unexpected Xmas bonus once, 1 grand I didn't know I was getting.
I went to Sounds of the Universe / Soul Jazz and spent £450 in one drop.
That was heaven too.One of the loveliest afternoons of my life

i concur on sounds of the universe - probably the best record shop in london...

thankfully, rude staff seem to be a thing of the past in most of the shops i've been in in recent years... one plus point to the drop in vinyl sales i guess.![]()
do they have good music?

Decided to celebrate Record Shop Day by purchasing my first 12" Vinyl records.
