When and where shall the bookgroup reconvene after it's "summer" break?

Where and when, then?

Its all quite easy.. zora give's the Bonnington Cafe an earful, tells them to buck their ideas up.. etc. We find out what time we have to get there to guarantee being able to eat what's actually on the menu.. Problem solved!!

:)

I haven't even looked at the book I'm afraid - my life is not very BG friendly at the mo....
Mine neither - have lots of books to read and am having trouble reading those

I don't think anyone has finished the book this time, it's a wee bit stodgy. The book was Suite Francais by Irene Nemirovsky

(we should have picked the grass one)
hmm they have this in senate house library.. but only in french.. i don't think i'm up to that..

let's hope amazon can deliver it toute suite!

what was that grass book called?

You can have my copy if you want?

I dunno, I think it was Mrs Magpie that suggested it. Could it be this one?

Doesn't look like I'm missing much. I can't make 26 July I'll be at WOMAD, as no-one seems clear about the book I'll try and read Miffy before the summer is over.

:) L

It looks like the 26th at Bonnington, now...am I right?

If so, I can make it, yipedidooda!

i love bonningtons and i last went there for the bookgroup xmess event:cool:
im looking for an excuse to go back...
there is a decent chance i can make this if its on 26th july..what is the book this month?

Cool beans, I'll try and book it then.

26th July, Bonnington's Cafe. 7.30pm good for everyone (or can people make it for 7pm - there might be some food left, then...)?

Shall I book for 10 people (there's always someone coming along at the last minute just for the food:mad: ;) ).

For the people who at least pretend to be interested in the book - the book that was chosen by popular vote at last bookgroup is Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky which imo turned out to be a bit of a page-turner since I started it yesterday, not something I expected (and very good it is, too.)

I'm back and well up for this :D

I have a lush thursday planned.

Morning - swim and eat at Lido
Middle - take self to see Harry Potter film
End - bookgroup meal

oh yes.
