When and where shall the bookgroup reconvene after it's "summer" break?

Where and when, then?

I can't finish a book in 2 weeks :D :D

Still want food though - maybe Khan's is a better idea then, seeing as Bonningtons can't really cope with larger groups.

Then it's just one bus straight up to Jamm ;)

Sorry Khan's is logistically too far away for the membership.. simply couldn't enjoy it.

I don't think anyone has finished the book this time, it's a wee bit stodgy. The book was Suite Francais by Irene Nemirovsky

(we should have picked the grass one)

oh right - I thought I'd managed to miss that one. Well I'm working solidly for the fortnight prior to this so I won't get to read anything I reckon. I've started another Cormac McCarthy....

Can you nominate something a tad more populist and not long just to, you know, ease the passage (Matron!) for any book club wannabe's . . . maybe ?

Urban75 is a Brixton based website - if you live in North London, tough!

:( :( :(
i notice this thread is less 'welcoming' than the normal book group thread!

The books actually better than alot of the stuff we've read.. imho.. well observed, well paced, good characterisation, interesting subject matter.. don't see why people have got a problem to be honest..
