Probably because it takes time and concentration to shoot with and then time and money to develop/print or develop/scan. I've never used anything like this before so it's going to be a steep learning curve for me - but I'm really excited.:)

My other camera? 5D MkI

IMO the great thing about using any MF camera is the limitations it imposes - you have to calculate the exposure youself; you're limited to a small number of frames; the weight means some stances are too uncomfortable for shooting in and the mechanics of the camera can slow you down by making you go through an internal checklist of "shutter cocked and speed set, lens focused and stopped down, shoot!". A more "considered" approach, as opposed to blazing away with a 35mm, or a digicam.

Not a Canikon Fanboy.

Sony A200 DSLR. Pentax K110D DSLR, Pentax ME Super 35mm SLR. Kodak Retinette IIA 35mm viewfinder. I'm currently using those four cameras.

I have a Pentax K100D DSLR. I love it, plus I can use my old Pentax and Tamron AD2 lenses on it. I also have a Lumix FS10 for snaps (fits in a shirt pocket), and a shedload of 35mm SLRs, 35mm rangefinder cams and other feasts of weirdness, including two Mamiya TLRs (a C33 and a C2) plus a full set of lenses for them except the 250mm.

Hikiwari - some of the recent photos taken with my Kodak Retinette. Paid two quid for it at a car boot sale.

Fab! It gives such a lovely retro quality to your shots. (Very impressed with the exposure in the circus shots.)

My old man's 1A doesn't have a light meter so I'm working to the Sunny 16 rule and shooting with my fingers crossed :-] I'm only halfway through my first roll of 36exp as all my concentration is on getting it right with my new Rolleiflex first.
