What's your usual make-up look when you're wearing it?

YSL Touche Eclat, Max Factor Blusher and lipstick, Urban Decay Eyeliner in Gunmetal or Baked or Stashed or Zero (black) or pearly nude eye cream or Bourjois eye shadow in white or silver, black Mascara.

I haven't been able to find a nice plain dark grey eye liner with no sparkles in it to replace the one i've worn down to a stub - hence buying all the Urban Decay ones to try and fill it's place in my heart

benefit do a good grey eyeliner, thats the one i use

I always wear make-up. I don't even pop to the shop without it*. Generally I go for foundation to cover dark circles under eyes (that stuff that stays on all day) liquid eyeliner, generally slightly wonky as toddler always wants a cuddle when I'm applying it, too much waterproof mascara, oh and some blusher to stop me looking like I've just been dug up. I'm all glamour, me.

If I'm going out (ha!) I'll do something extra with coloured eye shadow and apply lip gloss.

*Seriously, when I went into labour one of the first things I did was apply make-up so that I'd look OK in hospital. I've no doubt I will do exactly the same at some point in the next month...

Respect

Day to day it's just tinted moisturiser, mascara, little bit of blusher (dandelion from benefit) and some lip balm.

For going out I'll wear a foundation (YSL do a really good one that looks great on my skin and not cakey) and then as above with maybe some eyeshadow and lipstick thrown in.

Foundation, under eye stuff, eyeliner, mascara and lip balm daily, sometimes powder too. Going out I'd add blusher, dark eyeshadow and lippy, with more of the eyeliner.

moisturiser, mascara and sometimes when i'm feeling extra wowzer, i'll apply eyeliner and brown eyeshadow  i really can't be bothered with taking too much time over makeup application. imo it's boring. likewise with my hair.

all probably reasons why i've been looking exactly the same for years and years and years :D

Drag Queen :o

If I don't put it on with a trowel and have to take it off with industrial remover then frankly I'm not interested.

I rarely wear make up unless I'm going out these days, when I do it's foundation, concealer, bronzer, benetint, eye highlighter, mascara, liquid eyeliner, bit of shadow and some lipliner and lipstick. If it's a big night then I'll add glitter eyeliner and some other shit.

I have been enthusiasticlaly watching Gok Wan though, time for a new natural me?? :hmm::eek::D (saying that I can remember when I wouldn't leave the house without that ^^^ get up so I'm trying!)

I'm not comfortable wearing lots of make-up - occasionally I pile it on when I go out cos it's fun to dress up and getting proper made up is all part of the fun of getting ready :). So then I’ll got for much stronger eyes – lots of shading, black eyeliner, extra dose of mascara - vaguely 1950s inspired. Also, as I wear contacts, I find heavy eye make up can end up irritating them so I end up with pink eyes or have to put my glasses on which kind of spoils the glamorous look I’m aiming for! :D

For going to work, it’s tinted moisturiser, cream blusher, concealer/Touche Eclat if I need it, matt powder, mascara and lipstick. If I'm feeling crazy I might add some eyeliner!

But as soon as I’m home it all comes off and I often don’t bother during the daytime at the weekend unless I'm feeling particularly hideous :D

And I'd always far far rather be told I look good when I've got minimal/no make-up on cos I know they're seeing the real me :)

Every day I wear mascara as I have white blond eyelashes:( and look like I am seriously ill if I don't!
I usually add a touch of concealer under the eyes as I am often tired and/or hungover.

On nights out the same plus, light foundation with black liquid eyeliner and sometimes eyelid sparkles.

Rarely much different

Yeah, it's a fun part for me as well - makes an evening more special. That's more the reason i wear it than to look good, in some ways! It's a sign that this is not just an ordinary day/evening.

I'd hate make-up being a daily grind rather than a fun thing, but I may need it more as I get older. Then again, I may not be arsed.

My mum a few years ago told me that she has heard that you should have lighter, more natural make-up as you get older, but she's decided 'Sod it!' she's going to wear strong make-up anyway! She has quite dramatic features, so she wears it well, even if a bit OTT sometimes.

I very rarely bother unless I'm going out - occasionally apply mascara, but mostly not as it means having to wash my face before I get into bed :o

When I do go out though, I like to make an effort. So, foundation, blusher, lots of different eyeshadows (colours in my bag at the moment include electric blue, iridescent purple, deep matt purple, sparkly fuschia, glittery black, silver, dark metallic grey, matt grey, pale neutral, various greens...), eyeliner (liquid and/or pencil, usually black although I do have a gorgeous purple Urban Decay one that I sometimes use for detailing), black mascara and clear brow-grooming stuff. I seem to own quite a lot of lip products even though I rarely use them as stuff just rubs straight off. The most used is an Urban Decay lip balm/gloss that makes my lips tingle :D

I'm surprised how few people have listed eyebrow pencil - that's probably one of my most vital bits of make-up.

When I had my make-up professionally done (on bridesmaid duty) she didn't use any and I had to sneakily add some of my own after she left.

I've really got into make-up recently. I nearly always wear Bobbi Brown under eye stuff and maybe Touche Eclat (although I'm not a huge fan of it like most people) and some L'Oreal Mineral Powder and Body Shop cheek tint stuff.

The rest depends on my mood. I've recently got some brilliant eye shadow palettes so I'm experimenting with colour. Sometimes I wear liquid eyeliner. At the moment I'm using Bourgeouis liner effect mascara. I've got lots of different lippies - ranging from nude to plum to coral to red.

Bourjois eyeliner's ace! And I just got a tester of blinc eyeliner after I saw Spanglechick recommend it on another thread - and that's rather super too - no smudges at all :)

:D
That's pretty much what I'm like now.

I used to wear make up all the time, I didn't remove it I'd just add more. But now I wear it when I feel like it and even if I start thinking just some concealer and mascara I end up with a full face. Not the natural look either. If my eyes only have black eyeliner and mascara (and concealer and maybe a only slightly shiny eyeshadow) I'll whack on bright red lipstick. If I've done up the eyes (rarely just one eyeshadow) I'd probably just lip balm my lips but that's mainly because I don't bother with even vaguely neutral lipstick. I recently experimented with brown eyeshadow but it was shimmery and I couldn't resist chucking in some bright green.
I love make up. I took about a year out mind. I grew my hair back to it's natural colour and didn't really wear any make up but then I got very bored.

Most of the time I where very little make up, just black eyeliner and mascara but for certain day time events - weddings/christenings/interviews - I'll make the effort and then for clubbing/a party etc the big guns come out!

Eyes
GOING CLUBBING: I like very strong sexy eyes - the smoky sex kitten look, dark colours either grey/black with white/silver splashes so it's not too goth, along with heavy benefit bad gal liner and bad gal mascara OR go for dark plummy colour with dark green lower lid liner along with the same bad gal mascara/eyeliner - mascara + eyeliner on upper and lower lids/lashes.

DAYTIME EVENT: A grey or green eyeshadow not too bright, eyeliner only on the upper eyelids (rimmel) and mascara only on the upper lashes (maxfactor 2000 calories or more lashes).

Face
GOING CLUBBING: Even though I by no means have perfect skin, I hate that foundation/cakey look - they're probably much better these days but haven't worn a proper foundation since the late 90's v.early 00's for this reason. Instead I wear touch eclat as my concealer with just a dusting of loose foundation and have a very pretty pink (pinky pink) blusher to give my cheeks those 'yep I've just been shagging' glow! On my lips I just have a smidge of tinted lip balm, eyes are so strong don't want to look like a drag queen hooker!

DAYTIME EVENT: Very similar to the above but instead of the pink blusher would go for a more peachy, fresh tone that looks more natural and is more suitable, don't need to look like I've just been shagging at a job interview! Lips are the same as above.

Cor I've gone on for ages! Love make-up tho, used to love experimenting on my mates and when my sister did this hair competition (she's a hair dresser) I ended up doing the majority of the models back stage as the girl they'd hired never showed and I loved it!

Always love shopping for new make up, fav makes are urban decay, benefit and Mac, plus I don't think you can beat rimmel for their eyeliners plus will always have fond memories of wearing their heather shimmer lipstick to school!:D

Haha, I used to wear heather shimmer to school sometimes as well :o :D

Urban Decay eyeshadows are definitely my favourite - really strong pigment that stays on for ages.

:D

Me and my mate were talking about this the other day, everyone wore heather or coffee shimmer at school. I used to wear black cherry as well.

Most girls had Dewberry or White Musk body spray too.

Why did we all wear heather or coffee shimmer though, they must have looked terrible! :D

I can remember wearing black kohl eyeliner as lipliner too!:o:(

If I'm wearing makeup in the day its a touch of concealer under the eyes, a mineral powder foundation, or tinted moisturiser, either a goldy green or a heatherish purple eyeshadow, mascara and lipgloss.

I wear glasses all the time and if your wearing eye make up, there needs to be just a bit more of it.

I always wear nailvarnish.

touche eclat has been my biggest friend since I hit my forties
