Any Carlisle supporters on here? What about when Jimmy Glass the 'keeper on loan from Swindon scored in the dying seconds to keep you up? :D

May 1989; arsenal snatch the title from liverpool with almost the last kick of the season. all game long it was despair, despite smiffy's goal. then with ONE SODDING MINUTE TO GO, michael youlittlebloodybeauty Thomas gets clear to score. 18 years of pain, gone in seconds. Finsbury Park was utter bedlam that night.

As a Coventry City fan it can only be the 1987 Cup Final victory over Spurs (I would have said Tottenham but I put that in for WoW).

What a fantastic day (if you're a sky blue fan)

I remember that... Scarborough who went down in their place wasn't it? I was watching Sky's last-day-of-the-season coverage... all the scarborough fans rushed onto the pitch to start celebrating staying up, and then suddenly the news of glass's goal came in...

I've got a soft spot for York City so that just made it all the sweeter!

Twister of Urban75 football team scoring the winner which clinched promotion for the Urban75 team as CHAMPIONES of the league last night would have to be up there I'd say ;)

Ah, yes. 1972. Remember it well. They still often show this game in features about giantkillers. The equaliser was an absolute corker: 35 yards out.

Did you get knocked out by Leeds that year?

Any sport.

Stimulated by a re-union for th 35th anniversary of the Cardiff beating the mighty Real Madrid courtesy of a Brian Clarke header (possibly the nicest gentleman in sport - never booked in his ful professional career).

No photos available sorry :( but it's on urban

ooooooh yes I was there..
..can still hear the "where's your double gone, where's your double gone" chants now

Walsall's great moments...

Beating the evil corporation 3-2 in the FA Cup in a televised third round replay 1974. But the most historic victory in the clubs history was beating Herbert Chapman's all conquering Arsenal team of the early 1930's. Arsenal were the hot favourites to win the cup, but came unstuck and lost the tie 2-0. Imvho it's one of the all-time great upsets in FA Cup history.

Gilbert Alsop (see image below) was prominent in that classic victory, he scored the first goal in win at the old Fellows Park stadium (1933)

Not forgetting beating the Gooners again, this time in the Milk Cup 1984 at Highbury 2-1. Then in the Semi-Final they held the best team in Europe at the time Liverpool 2-2, and should have won the tie when Mark Rees fired into the side netting after he was clean through. Although the team lost 2-0 in the second leg to the reds, thus a 4-2 agg win. So close, but not close enough.

Beating Barcelona 1-0 at Celtic Park in 2004. Going through on aggregrate after holding them at the Nou Camp.
Made all the sweeter by the subsequent Old Firm game being held up by sombrero-wearing Celtic fans throwing beach balls on the pitch. :D

(Forest)

Two dates spring to mind!

v Malmo. Olympic Stadium, Munich 30/05/1979
v Hamburg Madrid 28/05/1980

Predictable, really :D

Any Southampton fans on here?

Southampton 3 Leeds 4

Best day out I've had in 25 years of watching Leeds.

Believe me the the bastards will never sing that fucking awful 'easy' chant again.

Whilst I have some sympathies with Saints, having lived there for three years and mates who have season tickets, anyone who does that deserves to have something terrible like that happen to them.

It's fucking shite

West Ham's gretaest victory will come one saturday in May, when they beat Chelski at the Millenium to win the FA Cup much to the relief of every football supporter in the country with the exception of the glory chasing twats who have recntly jumped aboard the Chels band wagon!

Port Vale 0 - 10 Sheffield United

Record away win in England!!

Tho my favourite would probably be when we beat L**ds 2-1 in the FA Cup the season they went down. They were winning until bout 88 mins then Jagielka cracked a screamer in and we thought we'd got a replay only for Peter "Nuddy" Ndlovu to score the winner in injury time sparking mass celebrations and cuntish scum fans to throw chairs onto the pitch! It was shortly after that that they realised they were shit, not Yorkshire's No 1 and not even the biggest supported club in Yorkshire (not even the 2nd!) yet even to this day, disillusioned cunt fans (thats L**ds to you and me) still claim Man Utd to be their biggest rivals, prompting Man Utd fans and everyone else who hears it to piss themselves laughing!
