What's your most valuable $$$ record?

I've never bothered finding out how much they are worth, but people keep telling me that loads of my techno records are worth a fair bit (SUF 1-present complete, ditto routemaster, ditto smitten, ditto pretty much everything else :D)

I've got loads of early mint condition promo Stay up Forever (Liberators and Immersion mostly) and Perfecto Records 12 inches. Are they worth anything? I have no idea about the value of dance records apart from the white label of little fluffy clouds we've got, which has got to be worth something.

Since i saw this thread i've been trying to find out the value of some of my vinyl, but i'm not getting very far...

I've got loads of rare Psychic TV vinyl, but i don't think it's worth that much.
Don't suppose my rare Hawkwind stuff is worth much either.

I sold most of my rare rock records to pay the bills years ago, but i do still have a copy of AC/DCs High Voltage on Albert Records (aussie import) with a different cover and different tracks from the uk release. That must be worth something.

The rarest thing i have is a cassette single of Que Sera Sera/War is over if you want it by KLF and the Red Army Choir. It was only released following (another) peace treaty in Israel with text in Hebrew and Arabic and a limited run. When i was really skint years ago i took it to Reckless Records and they said they had no idea what to value it at but thought it was probably really valuable. They said they didn't want to do me out of any money, so they didn't buy it. It's probably only worth about 10p now due to it being a cassette single, but i'm glad i didn't sell it in the end...

Do You have a PTV recording of a Manchester gig around 87-88, started off with a load of howling wolves

Don't think i've got that one, but if your into wolves i've got a copy of Music for Hashasins (Vagina Dentata Organ) which came out on Temple Records and comprises soley of wolf noises on the A side and backward wolf noises on the B side :D

It's a bit of a heavy one to listen to...especially the B side:D

I have about 12,000 records, mainly dance/electronic music from the last 20/30 years, some of them are worth up to £500 as they are unreleased mixes on promo, that have never been played, or limited edition box sets, etc.

But outside of my collection, the most expensive record I've personaly heard about was "Frank Wilson - Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)" - release on the Motown subsidiary label 'Soul.'
Supposedly 500 demo 45s were pressed, but by that time Frank Wilson decided he would rather focus on producing and had the demos trashed.

Some how at least two known copies survived, one of which fetched £15,000 (aprox. $28,000.00).

Because of the scarcity of the original single and the high quality of the music, it has been championed as the rarest and most valuable record in history.

I think it was a big Northern Soul record.

Anyways, I have an mp3 of it, and it's ok, very upbeat, nothing special.......maybe the sorta record you might hear on a KFC advert!!!
